It’s an honor working for Sridevi’s film – A. R. Rahman

The Oscar winning music director, A.R. Rahman says that it’s an honor working with Sridevi. Spotted on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs to celebrate Mothers Day on Tuesday.

“It’s such an honor; I never thought that I will do any movie for Sridevi ji. I have been a big fan of her in my younger day. When she came and said that she wants me to do this movie, so I had to do it, I couldn’t refuse. She is doing amazingly well and I am looking forward to it”

Sridevi will be seen doing come back with the movie ‘Mom’ after a long gap of 5 years. She was last seen in the film ‘English Vinglish’. Her upcoming film’Mom’ is a thriller film directed by Ravi Udyawar. Other than Sridevi the film stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as well. The music of the film is composed by A.R. Rahman and it is slated to release on 7 July 2017.

As it was the celebration of Mothers day he was asked about his mother’s favorite songs composed by him for which he said that his mother likes all his songs and because of her blessings only he is here.

Other than ‘Mom’ A.R. Rahman will also be working on the film ‘2.0’, here is what he said about it. “2.0 have a big fan following as ‘Robot’ was such a big hit and seeing how Baahubali 1 and 2 did, I want everybody to support 2.0 as well as it is a dream project of S. Shankar and Rajnikant and I am also a part of it” said Rahman.

2.0 is a science fiction film written and directed by S. Shankar and is the sequel to 2010 film ‘Robot’. The film stars Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.

Rahman was even asked about what he has to say about Justin Beiber’s visit to India for the ‘Purpose Tour’, for which he said. “Yes I am excited; we have performed together before on the same stage. It’s nice to see him grow as an artist and I wish him the best”.
