When Shehnaz met A.R. Rahman in Dubai, it was a dream come true moment for her. A resident of Dubai for over 10 years, she has attended most of his concerts and considers Rahman’s music a central part of her daily routine.
In fact, Rahman’s music is the only thing that plays on her car stereo, whether she’s commuting on the streets of Dubai or traveling abroad for vacation with her husband and kids. When Shehnaz finally had the opportunity to meet Rahman in person, it was a moment she will never forget.
According to Shehnaz, “This photo was not the result of the universe conspiring or luck by chance, but rather the result of hard work and taking every opportunity that came my way. When dreams come true, it all happens in the blink of an eye, which is why our hearts skipped many beats and our eyes weren’t focused on the cameras.”
“But who cares about the specifics? This one picture is going straight on our photo wall, nicely framed. It’s a reminder that infinite love for Rahman Sir and the desire to meet him once can really make our dreams a reality.”
With a smile on her face, Shehnaz hopes to meet A.R. Rahman again and invite him to her home for a cup of tea and some tasty Malabar biryani – God willing, Insha Allah 🙂
