G.V. Prakash sings a mass number for A.R. Rahman’s upcoming movie – Mersal

After eighteen years, GV Prakash Kumar has sung a song for his uncle A.R. Rahman. GV Prakash says that it’s a mass peppy number and he’s glad to be associated with two of his favorites— A.R. Rahman and Thalapathy Vijay in Mersal.

Before Mersal, the last song crooned by GV Prakash for A.R. Rahman was Azahaga Ratchasiye in Mudhalvan. Another interesting fact is that GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer of Mersal director Atlee’s previous two films— Raja Rani and Theri.

Sri Thenandal Films is producing Mersal at a massive budget, the film also has an ensemble of actors including Samantha, Nithya Menon, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Vadivelu, Sathyaraj, Kovai Sarala and Sathya. Touted to be a racy action entertainer, the audio launch of the film will be held in August and the producers planning for a grand Diwali theatrical.
