The Tamil and Telugu Raavanan teaser trailer will be released only close to its audio launch. T- Series have acquired the Hindi audio rights of the film, which has music by AR Rahman. T-Series, president- marketing media publishing Vinod Bhanushali said: “It is a magnum project which brings together the winning combination of Mani Ratnam and A R Rahman. The film’s star cast is also quite an attraction.” Meanwhile the Tamil and Telugu audio rights negotiations are going on, with Sony Music emerging as the front runners. As soon as the deal is firmed up, Raavanan audio launch in Tamil and Telugu will take place probably in May. The soundtrack of the movie will be done by A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Gulzar. According to unofficial sources, Rahman has reused two songs he composed for the shelved Aamir Khan film Lajjo and a Qawwali composed for Jodhaa Akbar which was not used in the film. There are also reports that Mani Ratnam recently shot a big budget song Kata Kata Mara Mara with 500 dancers in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh. “A huge set was created in Jhansi to shoot this song which took four days to wrap up and has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya,” says a Unit hand.Asha Bhonsle have recently recorded a song for Raavan. A song titled Pairon Pe Jannat Hai sung by Lucky Ali has leaked through the internet and is listed as a song from Raavan. However Rahman claimed that no songs have leaked from Raavana. He also denied the news that Aishwarya Rai has recorded a song titled Kadhale(in Tamil version) for the film.
The audio release was scheduled on March 2010 but since the release date of the film has changed, the audio release has changed to April last week. And now, its officially confirmed that the music will be launched on 24 April. The Tamil and Telugu Raavanan teaser trailer will be released only close to its audio launch. Hi there,
This is my first comment in rahmaniac. As being a great fan of Mr. A. R. Rahman, i really appreciate a lot for creating this website. I can get many unpublished information from Rahmaniac. Right now i live in abroad to complete my higher study, left India three years ago. But there is no any single day i don’t listen to AR’s music. I always seek information about Mr. Rahman’s music. I like the raavan music very much. But i wonder why “Ja re ud ja re” song didn’t launched together with other songs. This song i like the most, and i am eagerly waiting for listening the full audio. Could you please tell me the real fact? Is it going to be released later with some other songs? As i read that there is a song sung by the legend Asha Bhoshle. I left my email Id. If u let me know, it will make me happy.
It is nice to write something in Rahmaniac. Hope i can share my mind later on.
All the best
listened to Ravana song on 24th itself…….”beera” is good …..but i found the overall album juzz fine……as rahman sab’s songs create magic slowly …..may be you can like 2- 3 songs more………but i think the spell is still missing just like in case of blue….
Raavan songs are great, perhaps one of the finest works of Rehman sir.He has once again proved that he gives his 101% for his guru and mentor Mani sir.But I am deeply disappointed not to see my favourite singers Shreya Goshal and Madhusree (perhaps Rehman sir’s favourite too) on the track list.Is there any particular reason for this Mr.Rehman !
Not that gr8 music. it is average.
Pathetic Movie.. music is also below avg. and think there are better music release this year than Ravan. I am sorry ARR sir. i love you. and you r my inspiration. But these day your music is becoming avg. People like Amit trivedi, and Mithoon are the inspiration for young people. They are the rising star for the music.
