Jhootha Hi Sahi – Music Releasing Soon

16 08 2010

Filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala, who shot to fame with his very first film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is back with yet another romantic comedy, Jhootha Hi Sahi starring John Abraham & his wife Palkhi. However, Jhootha Hi Sahi is far mature than teeny bopper lovestory Jaane Tu.

Says the director, “Unlike Jaane Tu the heartbreak is real in Jhootha Hi Sahi. When heartbreak happens it actually pains. Jaane Tu was little playful and childish. However in case of Jhootha Hi Sahi there is lot of pain. It is more serious film. Though it’s a rom com there is a dramatic aspect to it.”

The film underwent a few name changes before settling for Jhootha Hi Sahi. Initially it was called 1-800 LOVE, which was then changed to Call Me Dil. “It was actually never renamed. From the kind of movie that was conceived out we had set a working title 1-800 LOVE. But eventually we realized that the whole concept of toll free number is not that popular.

The idea that alphabets stand for number seemed less convincing, so we always knew that for broader Indian audience it will never work. So we locked on Jhootha Hi Sahi. In between, one of the other titles that we were considering was Call Me Dil, which never really happened. However, somebody leaked to the media and they decided to call it Call Me Dil,” Abbas says.

The music of the movie is composed by Academy Award Winnig musician A R Rahman and director Abbas quotes “Whatever the time taken over the music is worth it. Rahman doing the music adds a totally new dimension to my film.”

Imran and Genelia have become stars overnight. Looking at the positive response from the audiences, Aamir Khan and Abbas Tyrewala have now given the audiences another reason to watch the film again.

Few days back, Aamir had put up a debate on his blog, www.aamirkhan.com, asking his fans whether he should or should not add the female version of the track, ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai’ sung by Runa picturised on Genelia Dsouza in the film. Apparently, Aamir and Abbas felt that the song should be deleted in order to match up with the
pace of the film. Hence, it was not a part of the film when Jaane Tu… released on July 4. Now, since Aamir got feedback from a number of people that they missed this song in the film, he has decided to add it to the film.

The female version of ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai’ will now be added to the film from this Friday ~July 18 and will run for a week. Moreover, depending upon the response they get for it, Aamir and Abbas will decide if the song should remain in the film or not.
