Famous Hollywood movie Al Risalah to be music directed by Ar rahman. The film is already released in Hollywood and director Moustapha Akkad, is planning to release in India by dubbing it in Hindi and Urdu. The film will be released in late January and the music is expected to release in the mid of Jan.

Al-Risalah is the story of Islam from its birth, evolution and to its triumph with the best Hollywood production values full of grandeur and emotion. Oasis Enterprises owned by Yamshi Ahmed and Saad Ahmed will be releasing the dubbed Hindi version of the film. Al-Risalah is being disturbed by Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions.

Talking about Naresh, like many other youngsters participated in Channel V’s super singer contest in 2005 with major dreams and even made it to the top 25 before being ousted. But Naresh was offered a chance to sing in films by none other than Rahman, who was judge on the show.

Naresh, die hard rahmaniac said ” Meeting Rahman was a big thing in itself. And frankly speaking, I was a little sceptical when he said he would get back to me within a week. I thought Rahman was just trying to console me. But I got a call from his studio within four days.”

The R. D. Burman award for a new musical talent is the latest feather in his cap. “What makes the award even more special is Rahman got this award when he began his musical journey as well,” explains the ardent ARR fan and adds, “Sometimes, I am very happy with the way things have shaped for me, but then I also realise I have a long way to go.”

After creating their mark in the music industry with two successful albums, the music composer of popular band Kailasa are now spreading their wings into Bollywood and are in serious discussion with the Mozart of Asia , A R Rahman, who may sing for them.

Kailash, who who became with Allah Ke Bande in the film Aise Bhi Hota Hai, is very much excited about the possibility of getting A R Rahman to sing for his composition in the upcoming Allah Ke Bande, directed by Farooqe Kabir.

“I share a special bond with Rahman and I never miss a chance to work with him. He is blessed by God. His spirituality and simplicity attracts everyone,” says Kailash.

Kailasa is working on a Sufi song and have already discussed it with Rahman, he likes the idea and if things fall in line he will be singing this song,”

The music we all were looking for…Yes the last periodic film of rahman is set to release on January 9th . According to Ashutosh Gowariker ” Just wanted to let you know that music is not being released on 18th December. I know i had originally told you all that date, but preparing the cd and cassette in lays is taking a little more time and so we wont be releasing tomorrow ie 18/12/2007. Will let you know very soon what the new music release date will be. Thanks, and hope you are looking forward to the music.”

Instrumental tracks has also added in the audio in addition to the five songs. Hence Ashutosh and team wanted to ensure that the in lay designs do justice to the film and the music. UTV are just figuring out the dates and as soon as they lock on a new music release date, they will let us know, in this blog and after the music release the audio will be uploaded in this blog so that the rahman fans can download it from here

Uzbek pop singer Iroda Dilroz likes Rahman’s Alai Paayuthey- Saathiya number,’Kaadhal sadugudu’ aka “Aye udi udi” so much that she has a pretty catchy and interesting cover version in her native language, called ‘Sevgi sadosi’ (meaning, the echo of love!). She says that Ar rahman is her favourite music director and has a huge impact in her music life.. Ar rahman is so happy to hear this and called up her to wish best of luck to the album.

Later, the album was a huge hit in Uzbek and a record sale of million album was created…

Ar rahman honoured in hollywood !! Today a super mega budget movie borrowed the soundtrack from rahmans score. Nicolas cage’s movie “Lord of war” uses rahmans Bombay theme. When Nicolas cage gets arrested in Africa- the sun sets down, we hear bombay theme in background- just a full theme, not even a remix.

The film makers did obtain the rights from Universal Music. It was funny they give the credits in the end  “Mumbai theme Music” not  “Bombay theme Music”. Such political correctness

The Guardian, the respected newspaper published in the UK, has featured A.R.Rahman’s ‘Bombay’ among 1000 albums that are a must-listen. The publication said “(A.R.Rahman) is considered by many to be India’s greatest living composer, and any number of Rahman’s soundtracks could have made this list. Bombay wins out thanks to the emotionally charged orchestral title track (often heard on chillout compilations) and Kehna Hi Kya, which outweirds Björk’s Medulla when it comes to vocal arrangements.”

This follows the recent inclusion of ‘Roja’ in Time magazine’s global list of Top 10 soundtracks of all time.

There is lots of excitement at Geeta Arts, as the shooting of their Rs 45-crore film Gazini is progressing well. The problems with finalizing the heroine are a thing of the past.

Asin is the girl here too as she was Aamir’s first choice. Though many more girls were tried, Aamir was insistent about Asin playing the lead opposite him.Now, the latest on the film is that the film will be wrapped by March end and then the post production and promotional activities would begin.

The film will be released for Diwali, 2008, in keeping with Bollywood tradition of having big hero releases for the festive season.

Another attractive section of the film is Ar rahman composing music for the film. Lot of discussions were made with Harris jayaraj by the director but Amir feels that rahman could only deliver the right stuff for the movie. Rahman will be composing 8 tracks for the film and the lead singers will be Naresh Iyer, Shreya Ghosal, Rahman himself, Sayonara, etc…..

Rahman has been seen in the sets of Ghajini in mumbai as the music director himself can feel the romantic touch of the movie. Rahman has already composed 4 tracks for the movie and had also composed the lead hit track ” Suttum Vizhi in Hindi with different tune
